Don't expect a little thing like four straight losses to stop a veteran like Josh Koscheck.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight No. 1 contender will try to finish his ZUFFA contract on a high note when he takes on hot-and-cold Erick Silva in the UFC Fight Night 62 co-main event, scheduled for later tonight (Sat., March 21, 2015) inside Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Koscheck (17-9) is just three weeks removed from a submission loss to Jake Ellenberger at the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Los Angeles, Calif., and the original "Ultimate Fighter" -- finished in three of his last four losses -- hasn't seen the win column in over two years.
No time like the present.
Silva (17-5, 1 NC) hasn't been able to string together consecutive wins since his 2011 debut, racking up a 5-4 record during that four-year span. When he's good, he's great, but when he's not, "Indio" is usually looking up at the lights, or getting covered and smothered.
Time to realize some of that potential.
