See you this summer.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight titleholder Rafael dos Anjos is headed under the knife following his five-round unanimous decision win over Anthony Pettis at the UFC 185 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Dallas, Texas (watch it).
But not for his partially-torn MCL.
Instead, the Brazilian will go undergo surgery next week to fix his nose, and is not expected to return for at least three months, according to UFC Tonight. That's about twice as long as "Showtime," who suffered a broken orbital bone in "The Lone Star State" and needs six weeks to recover.
No rush.
The next contender at 155 pounds won't be decided for another two months, as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Donald Cerrone square off on the UFC 187 PPV main card on May 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dos Anjos is expected to face the winner.
Perhaps Pettis can get the loser?
