NSAC postpones Anderson Silva, Nick Diaz disciplinary hearings for failed UFC 183 drug tests upon request

Anderson Silva, as well as Nick Diaz, and their respective teams have formally requested that their hearings with Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) be postponed until April 9, 2015,

That's according to a report from Combate (via Bloody Elbow), which states that "The Spider" still had 20 more days to form his official defense against the accusations as of March 13. Diaz, meanwhile, will also be given more time to explain (again) the excessive amount marijuana in his system post-fight.

Clearly, Silva's legal team felt it needed more time to create a proper defense for Silva, who will have to answer a bevy of questions to explain the reason he tested positive for steroids before and after his fight against Diaz, which went down at UFC 183 on Jan. 31, 2015.

The former Middleweight champion will also have to explain those anti-anxiety meds, too.

Silva has maintained his innocence throughout the whole ordeal; one that has undoubtedly inflicted a major blow to Silva's image and legacy in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA), as he has long been revered as one of the most respected fighters in the game.

His win over Diaz (which you can see here) has since been overturned to a no-contest (NC) by NSAC.

Silva's failed tests were just a few of many that occurred in the early part of 2015, as Diaz, Hector Lombard and Jon Jones failed their respective drug tests, as well.

Speaking of Lombard, he is still set to appear in front of NSAC on March 23, 2015, to answer for his transgressions.
