Case against UFC dad Lee Mein dismissed, record expunged for bogus sexual assault

James Lee Mein, father of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Jordan Mein, was arrested at the UFC Fight Night 49 weigh-in event last August on charges of felony sexual battery, which allegedly took place at the UFC host hotel for the "Henderson vs. Dos Anjos" mixed martial arts (MMA) event in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

See how it all transpired here.

Mein would plead not guilty and the prosecutor promptly reduced his charge to outraging public decency, a misdemeanor, which carried a 90-day deferred sentence. On March 6, however, the case was dismissed and Mein's record was expunged.

"He simply did not commit this crime," Mein's attorney told Top MMA News. "It should be noted that the accuser in this case is an ex-con who had just very recently been released from prison. The inconsistencies and improbabilities in her statements are astounding."

The 47-year-old Mein, himself an experienced MMA fighter, was last seen competing under the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) banner in early 2014, where he lost to former UFC heavyweight Tim Hague by way of first-round technical knockout.
