Tecia Torres: I want Felice Herrig to beat Paige VanZant because of the spotlight '12 Gauge' is getting

"There's a little part of me that's jealous over the spotlight Paige is getting, because I did beat her. She's fighting Felice and I think that's a good match up for both of them. I think they're at an equal level. I really want Felice to win because of the spotlight Paige is getting. I'm not saying she's just a pretty face, but she's not at the level I'm necessarily at, so I think I want Felice to win. Not saying I like Felice better, I think Paige is a cool girl, but I'm going with Felice in that fight."

It must be hard for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight contender Tecia Torres to watch Reebok darling Paige VanZant get showered with accolades after just one fight inside the Octagon. That's because the "Tiny Tornado" already beat "12 Gauge" under the Invicta FC banner, along with VanZant's UFC on FOX 15 opponent Felice Herrig and The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 runner-up Rose Namajunas. Perhaps if Torres (5-0) and VanZant (4-1) both emerge victorious in their upcoming fights (Torres fights Angela Hill at UFC 188), they can have a "spotlight" showdown to see who, in fact, belongs at the top of the 115-pound division.
