Total domination.

Rafael dos Anjos is the new Lightweight champion after completely working Anthony Pettis in the main event of UFC 185 last night inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

On the feet, on the ground, in the clinch ... it didn't matter. Pettis simply had no answers for the Brazilian, who swept "Showtime" on all three judges scorecards after a utterly impressive rout of the Wheaties- and Reebok-sponsored superstar.

Indeed, Pettis was supposed to win. And win impressively. But, he didn't even come close, unable to get anything going because of the Brazilian's suffocating pressure. Pettis, who offered "no excuses" in his post-fight interview, revealed that he could not see out of his right eye the entire fight because of an early dos Anjos punch.

But, it was more than just an eye issue -- dos Anjos dominated him in every aspect of the fight. And no he'll wait for the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Donald Cerrone, both of whom he has competed against ... with different results.

Pettis, meanwhile, heads back to the drawing board after a truly head-scratching performance.
