Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) today released the drug test results for UFC Fight Night 61 on FOX Sports 1, which took place inside Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on Sun., Feb. 22, 2015.
And considering the recent fiasco involving Anderson Silva (among others), no news is good news, especially on the illegal / banned substances front.
Results from the pre- and post-fight drug tests, which include performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) such as steroids and drugs of abuse like cocaine and marijuana, among others, all returned negative for the entire card, according to Sherdog.com.
In addition, four randomly-selected (but unidentified) participants were subjected to more enhanced blood testing (HGH and EPO), which also came back clean.
UFC Fight Night 61 featured the return of former heavyweight champion Frank Mir, who rocked and socked his way back into the win column by stepping on fellow reformed TRT user Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva. Elsewhere on the card, Michael Johnson put the lightweight division on notice with his triumphant victory over Edson Barboza.
