UFC Quick Quote: A drop to bantamweight 'doable' for Frankie Edgar

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

"I weigh around '58 to '62. It's probably doable. But I just don't know how I'd react and how I'd perform the next day. It's good to have in my back pocket if I ever do want to go down, or a fight comes up that makes things interesting, but right now, my focus is at featherweight."

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (via Bloody Elbow), who's since relocated to featherweight to make another run at Jose Aldo's 145-pound title, isn't ruling out a drop down to 135 pounds for the right fight, or if things fail to materialize in his current weight class. That could depend on his performance against Urijah Faber at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 66 event in Philippines (more on that here), as "The California Kid" is keeping the bantamweight gate while teammate TJ Dillashaw rules the roost (for now). So, how about it fight fans ... think "The Answer" to Edgar's title quest lies 10 pounds away from where he's at?
