Video: Gina Carano has 'so much respect' for UFC champ Ronda Rousey, a 'beautiful athlete'

Former Strikeforce featherweight attraction Gina Carano, one of the biggest names in women's mixed martial arts (MMA) prior to the addition of female weight classes in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is still paying attention to what's going on in combat sports.

And she's extremely impressed.

Particularly with UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who extended her undefeated streak to 11 with a 14-second submission win over Cat Zingano in the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) main event last month in Los Angeles, California.

"It's insane ... she's a beautiful athlete and there's so much respect there and I wish her all the best," Carano said (via MMA Weekly). "And I hope Cat Zingano gets another chance at the UFC [title]."

"Conviction" also had some kind words for bantamweights Holy Holm and Raquel Pennington.

UFC has been trying to make a Carano vs. Rousey fight for well over a year, even if it means having "Rowdy" move back up to the 145-pound division. Unfortunately for fight fans, Carano continues to land big-screen roles alongside Hollywood A-listers (like this one).

Hey, there's always Cyborg! (lolz)
