Hey, if Josh Koscheck can do it, why can't Mark Munoz?
"The Filipino Wrecking Machine," who was finished for the third straight time just last weekend in Los Angeles, California, will try to stop his middleweight free fall when he faces fellow struggling 185-pounder Luke Barnatt at the UFC Fight Night 66 mixed martial arts (MMA) event.
When and where?
On May 16, 2015 inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines, a destination Munoz has been campaigning for since making his Octagon debut way back in 2009. Hopefully, someone has the foresight to call this guy a taxi after he's done cutting weight.
The 37-year-old Munoz (13-6) is just 1-4 since mid-2012.
Regardless, this has to be good news for Barnatt (8-2). The former Ultimate Fighter was expected to compete next month in Fairfax; however, his opponent, Clint Hester, was felled by injury and their fight was canceled. No doubt "Bigslow," like his veteran opponent, is in a big hurry to get back into the win column.
Could be a fun fight.
UFC Fight Night 66 on FOX Sports 1 will mark the promotion's Philippines debut, headlined by a 145-pound "super fight" pitting former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar against ex-WEC featherweight kingpin Urijah Faber.
