Following an exciting and at times controversial card in Edmonton, World Series of Fighting (WSOF) is back for another big event on March 28, 2015.
WSOF 19: "Gaethje vs. Palomino" is booked for the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
Headlining the card will be the reigning and defending WSOF lightweight champion Justin "The Highlight" Gaethje, the first and only man to hold that belt, undefeated at 13-0. Melvin Guillard did make it close in a non-title bout the last time Gaethje fought, so this will be his first match back since November of last year.
Gaethje's opponent, Luis "Baboon" Palomino, is undefeated in WSOF, having won both of his fights via knockout en route to a title shot, setting up Palomino to attempt to do what "The Young Assassin" could not: finish Gaetheje on the feet.
Underneath the title fight is a four-man light heavyweight tournament with Thiago Silva vs. Matt "The Hammer" Hamill and a reserve bout (to replace anyone injured in the tournament) between Jake Heun and Teddy Holder.
WSOF announced the rest of the card today along with all preliminary bouts scheduled for WSOF.com.
