Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Diego Sanchez has been out of commission for quite some time laboring a plethora of injuries. The former The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) winner was set to return to the cage at UFC 180, but suffered a knee injury that set him back another couple of months.
Unfortunately for fans of Sanchez, the nightmare just will not end as the Albuquerque native suffered a broken collarbone in training for his return just last week. The original TUF winner needed to have surgery to repair his wounded shoulder, and he opted to share a nasty photo from the operating room with his Twitter followers.
Be warned, this is gruesome.

While I'm not sure Sanchez's bionic shoulder is worse than Bobby Green's hole in his leg, this is a pretty terrible looking photo. At least according to Sanchez the surgery was a success!
Here is to Sanchez healing up quickly so the longtime fan-favorite can get back inside the Octagon before 2015 is all said and done.
