Yeah ... so this is actually happening.
Backstreet brawler-turned-EliteXC showpiece Kimbo Slice will make his Bellator MMA debut when he goes to war against Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hall-of-famer Ken Shamrock on Spike TV from inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 19, 2015.
"I remember how excited I was when this fight was originally announced, and how disappointed I was when it didn't come to fruition at that time," Bellator President Scott Coker said in today's release (via MMA Junkie). "I'm very happy we were able to put this one together because I know these guys still have a lot of unfinished business to take care of, and when they do, it will be something special."
"Special" indeed.
These two were expected to throw down in late 2008; however, Shammy suffered an untimely cut in training and was forced to withdraw. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" was replaced by UFC import Seth Petruzelli and welp, you know the rest.
So ... who's tuning in?
