Pic: Check out the gnarly cut that cut Michael Page from Bellator 134 (NSFW)

Make sure you're not sipping something you'd spit out onto your monitor when you see this one.

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

As previously reported, Michael "Venom" Page was booted from Bellator MMA's "British Invasion" this Friday (Feb. 27, 2015) in Uncasville, Connecticut. The two most common reasons a fighter is scratched from an event this late in the game are injury and illness.

In this case, it was the former and not the latter.

Until now, we didn't know what said injury was, but thanks to Page's Twitter account, we've now got a pretty good look at the cut that he suffered in training camp, one that required multiple stitches to close. Have a look for yourself below, but make sure to set your coffee down first.

Yikes.

It's pretty clear to see why he couldn't have taken the fight this Friday with a deep gash like that above his left eye. Preliminary fighter Brennan Ward is stepping up to take his place for a bout with the undefeated Curtis Millender and the new match will be contested at middleweight instead of welterweight.
