Heading into UFC Fight Night 61 (results here) tonight (Sun., Feb. 22, 2015), Mike De La Torre knew his back was against the wall following a two-fight winless streak in his first two Octagon appearances. After two relatively banal fights to kick off the evening in Porto Alegre, De La Torre brought the violence with a thunderous knockout live on FOX Sports 1 over Brazil's own Tiago Trator. Even though the American took out a Brazilian in front of his home crowd, those in attendance applauded "El Cucuy" for his impressive finish. Hopefully this is a harbinger of good things to come.
