Gina Carano's star just keeps getting brighter.
Just one week after it was announced that "Conviction" had landed a role in the highly-anticipated "Deadpool" movie alongside Ryan Reynolds (more on that here), Deadline (via Comingsoon.net) revealed that the former Strikeforce featherweight star has nabbed herself another acting gig.
This time, she'll be starring in the upcoming film "Extraction" alongside one of the heaviest of hitters "Tinseltown" has to offer ... Bruce Willis.
From the report:
"Willis will play a former CIA operative who hasn't been the same since his wife was murdered. His son is rookie CIA agent Harry Turner (Lutz) following in his footsteps developing a super-weapon called the Condor. When dad is kidnapped by a terrorist group, Harry launches his own rescue operation which leads to a conspiracy that will change his life forever. Carano co-stars as Victoria, a tough field operative assigned to hunt down Harry. Dan Bilzerian, Lydia Hull and Tyler Olson also star."
"Extraction," which is set to hit theaters in 2016, also stars Kellen Lutz, Ronda Rousey's co-star in last year's action-packed trilogy cap, "Expendables 3."
But it doesn't end there for Gina, as she has another film project in the works, though not much is known about that untitled film just yet.
What Carano's latest acting roles means for a potential return to mixed martial arts (MMA) and her Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut, well, do I really need to say it?
