Arianny Celeste fires back at Ronda Rousey over UFC pay snub: 'Assumptions makes asses out of everyone'

You mad?

Arianny Celeste responded to Ronda Rousey's claims that Octagon girls, like her, earn a higher salary than some of the fighters currently under contract for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Something "Rowdy" deemed "unfair."

Those comments (see them here) didn't sit well with Celeste, who has been with UFC for nearly a decade and is perhaps the most well-known ring girl in all of mixed martial arts (MMA).

Arianny took to Twitter to fire back at "Rowdy" for making assumptions and declared that she works hard for UFC, aside from her duties as ring girl.

"Pretty positive we don't get paid more than fighters. I work my ass off outside of Ufc not sure if anyone notices. TALK Is CHEAP. Everything I have I've worked hard for. I support my family. I'm happy. Assumptions makes asses out of everyone."

Celeste went on to say she was caught a bit off guard with Rousey's comments, as she was nothing but respectful toward "Rowdy" during their face-to-face encounters.

"Blows my mind. I was nothing but respectful and nice when I met her. And I will continue to be ️bc that's how I was raised. RESPECT."

This isn't the first time the two ladies have been involved in a back-and-forth social media spat.

Just last year, Rousey drew the ire of Arianny after the women's bantamweight champion stated that her job of carrying cards in between rounds required little-to-no talent. That prompted Celeste to say "Rowdy" is a bad role model for women because she doesn't carry herself very well and doesn't empower other women.
