It is finally official.

TMZ Sports first reported that undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will settle the score against longtime rival Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada. While details are still scarce, it finally seems boxing fans will see the fight they have dreamed about for years.

Mayweather himself announced the bout on his Shots account just moments ago:

His words:

What the world has been waiting for has arrived. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal. I promised the fans we would get this done, and we did. We will make history on May 2nd. Don't miss it! This is the signed contract from both fighters.

After nearly a month of back-and-forth haggling from both sides, a deal has finally been struck, and the two pugilists will square off inside the ring in just a few short months.

While the fight has lost a bit of steam since Pacquiao was brutally knocked out by Juan Manuel Márquez following a ghastly decision loss to Tim Bradley, the eight-division world champion has stormed back to win three fights in a row in impressive fashion, setting up the mammoth showdown with "Money" Mayweather.

Considering this fight has been discussed for nearly six years, there is no question it will be one of the biggest fights in combat sports history -- let alone boxing history -- with both men expected to make over $100 million for the event.

With Mayweather being untested lately with victories over Marcos Maidana and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, many wonder whether Pacquiao can be the first man to defeat the legendary boxing czar.

The date is finally set, and boxing aficionados have one of the biggest bouts in history to look forward to over the next few months.

So, who are you taking in this fight for the ages?
