The boxing and MMA worlds are about to collide again, and we're not talking about a rematch between James Toney and Randy Couture.
Spike TV recently announced a new concept called "Friday Night Lights Out" with a slate of combat sports programming every week on Friday nights -- including Bellator MMA cards -- on a recurring basis.
When Bellator color commentator Jimmy Smith is not busy with his duties there, he'll join five-time, two-division boxing champion Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver as an analyst on the new Spike series "Premier Boxing Champions."
The inaugural show takes place on March 13th at the Citizens Banks Arena in Ontario, California.
Two fights have already been announced for the show. Two-time welterweight champion Andre "The Beast" Berto will face a fellow former champion in Josesito Lopez, while former IBF welterweight champ Shawn Porter takes on Mexican boxing sensation Roberto Garcia.
Tarver and Smith will be joined on the program by host Dana Jacobson and play-by-play announcer Scott Hansen.
