UFC 183 fighter payouts for those athletes competing at the "Silva vs. Diaz" pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend (Sat., Jan. 31, 2015) from inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, were released earlier today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Not surprisingly, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was the top earner of the night, raking in $800,000 for his five-round unanimous decision win over Nick Diaz in the highly anticipated headlining affair (highlights here). Co-main event winner Tyron Woodley cashed in at $139,000, but that includes the 30 percent penalty he plans on giving back to Kelvin Gastelum for missing weight by ten pounds.
As for Diaz, he may be sick of losing, but he sure made made a lot of money as he banked a half-million dollars following his five-round decision loss to "The Spider."
That's not all.
