The dust has barely settled on UFC Fight Night 60: "Henderson vs. Thatch" from 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo., which means it's time to honor those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights last night (Feb. 15, 2015).
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 20 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who is heading home from Broomfield with a little extra grease for their efforts.
This time around, Ray Borg earned a "Performance of the Night" for his relentless pursuit of Chris Kelades, which ended via submission (kimura) in the third and final round. Neil Magny was also a big winner thanks to his third round submission of Kiichi Kunimoto, earning him a "Performance of the Night" nod, too.
"Fight of the Night" was awarded to the main event between former Lightweight champion, Ben Henderson, who stepped up on two weeks notice to battle Brandon Thatch in a back-and-forth Welterweight showdown. In the end, "Smooth" rallied to score a sensational fourth round rear-naked choke submission after Thatch put it on him early (read full fight recap here).
Here are the special UFC Fight Night 60 bonuses:
Performance of the Night -- Neil Magny
Performance of the Night -- Ray Borg
Fight of the Night -- Ben Henderson vs. Brandon Thatch (watch video highlights here)
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as possible if the information is made public.
