Bas Rutten: Fighters on steroids are 'insecure about their own abilities'

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion turned mixed martial arts (MMA) commentator and analyst Bas Rutten recently weighed in on the steroids epidemic sweeping through the sport over the last several weeks that saw Anderson Silva, Hector Lombard, and Jon Fitch all fail tests for performance enhancing drugs (PED). During a recent segment on Inside MMA, Rutten discussed how these failed tests make MMA seem like a cheater's sport, noted that fighters who take steroids are "insecure about their own abilities," and soon PED's become a vicious cycle for the athletes who take them.
