Toniiiiiight, is your night bro.
Ben Henderson steps up on short notice to battle 170-pound wunderkind Brandon Thatch in tonight's (Sat., Feb. 14, 2015) UFC Fight Night 60 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, taking place inside the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
And his first trip up to welterweight is sure to be a doozy.
"Smooth" (21-5) is coming off back-to-back losses in the lightweight division after spending a few years as king of the mountain. That said, his recent unanimous decision defeat to Donald Cerrone was a little on the questionable side and could have easily been scored in the other direction.
No use in crying over spilled toothpicks.
Thatch (11-1), meanwhile, hasn't been seen for over a year, taking an extended break to heal up from a litany of injuries. Prior to his hiatus, "Ruckus" compiled an impressive 10-fight winning streak, which includes consecutive finishes over Justin Edwards and Paulo Thiago.
Below, the UFC experts break down their 170-pound showdown:
Just over 12 hours to go!
