UFC fighter claims same doctor who screwed up his TRT has now victimized Anderson Silva

Is there a chance Anderson Silva is innocent?

According to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Antonio Silva, "The Spider" was operating under the care of his physician, Dr. Marcio Tannure, who may have gone above and beyond the call of duty in an effort to preserve the UFC 183 pay-per-view (PPV) main event.

"Anderson has fought since he was 17, during his long career he has never had a problem with doping. Unfortunately, this happened when he was returning from a long and intense healing process. I'm absolutely positive that he isn't guilty of anything. He must have done something at his doctor's suggestion. Anderson was a victim. I think that people from NSAC should verify this. It's not the first time for this doctor. NSAC should be aware of how fighters are and who is causing these problems. I had a problem with him and ended up getting a nine month suspension. It was when TRT was allowed. I was cleared to use it but the dosage that he gave me was too high."

Silva has maintained his innocence in the wake of a failed steroids test.

Tannure, known as the "UFC Doctor," is also the medical director of the Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts Commission (CABMMA) and the man "Bigfoot" claims is responsible for screwing up his testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in late 2013, which resulted in a nine-month suspension (a claim Tannure vehemently denies).

Is Antonio simply sticking up for his friend while grinding an old ax, or is there something fishy going on in the medical bowels of Brazil?
