Top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight contender Miesha Tate is attending Super Bowl 49. What, did you expect a little thing like a fractured face to keep her from cheering on her beloved Seattle Seahawks?
Pfffft.
"Cupcake" suffered a broken orbital bone in her majority decision win over Sara McMann in the UFC 183 "Prelims" headliner on FOX Sports 1, which took place last Saturday night (Jan. 31, 2015) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Watch the replay of their fight right here.
"Unfortunately I broke my orbital bone in two spots early on in the fight," Tate said on Instagram. "I couldn't see clearly out of my eye for rounds two and three, I had to dig deep. Sara McMann is an amazing competitor, a tough fight for anyone!"
And she hits like a cement truck.
Tate (16-5) is ranked No. 2 in the division, right behind Cat Zingano and Ronda Rousey, respectively. That's unlikely to change when the new rankings are published on Monday, as "Alpha" doesn't fight "Rowdy" until the end of the month, when they do work as UFC 184 headliners.
"Cupcake" versus the winner?
It's probably too early to worry about that now, as Tate has to focus on the gridiron. But her trip to Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, was not without its share of drama.
Anybody have any insight on parking a truck & trailer now at/near the stadium for the superbowl? We had a tire blowout & set us way behind

Hopefully the only blowout of the day is with her tire, otherwise the big game could be a big dud. Find out what happens with our wall-to-wall Super Bowl 49 coverage right here and for more results and fallout from UFC 183 click here.
