Fedor Emelianenko vs Jaideep Singh full fight video from Rizin debut in Japan

Former PRIDE FC heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko made his mixed martial arts (MMA) return, as well as his Rizin Fighting Federation debut, against kickboxing veteran Jaideep Singh in the main event of the promotion's New Year's Eve (Dec. 31, 2015) extravaganza in Saitama, Japan.

The ending was about what you would expect for an international Fedor fight.

Singh came into their marquee match up with an impressive kickboxing background, but never had the time (or space) to find his rhythm. "The Last Emperor," as he did so many times throughout his PRIDE FC career, took his larger foe to the mat, achieved mount with little-to-no effort, and wailed away until the referee intervened.

Yawn.

Stateside fans who want to watch the televised replay can do so at 10 a.m. ET on Spike TV, which will also broadcast the heavyweight grand prix tournament finals featuring Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal. For all the Rizin results and play-by-play updates from Japan click here.
