Nineteen-year-old mixed martial arts (MMA) phenom Sage Northcutt will make a quick turnaround from his second round guillotine finish of Cody Pfister at UFC Fight Night 80 last week.
The undefeated fighter (7-0) will face fellow undefeated Lightweight prospect Andrew Holbrook (11-0) at UFC on FOX 18 inside Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Jan. 30, 2016. The fight was announced during the UFC on FOX 17 main card in Orlando, Fla., last night (Sat., Dec. 19, 2015).
Northcutt has made quite a splash in his two UFC fights, dispatching Francisco Trevino in the first round in his debut and then following up with a slick submission against Pfister.
His submission skills should be tested against Holbrook, however, as the Indianapolis native boasts nine submissions in his professional MMA resume to date. Holbrook was last seen winning a controversial split decision against Ramsey Nijem at UFC on FOX 16 in July.
The pair join a card headlined by a fight with Light Heavyweight contenders Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader. Other announced fights include Ben Rothwell vs. Josh Barnett and Tarec Saffeidine vs. Jake Ellenberger.
