UFC champ Conor McGregor cast in new XXX movie alongside Vin Diesel

Xander Cage is making a comeback.

This time, he's bringing Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight kingpin Conor McGregor along for the ride. According to TMZ, the "Notorious" mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter has verbally agreed to join Vin Diesel in the upcoming "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" movie.

I never saw any of the other xXx films, but I'm sure it features lots of shootings, explosions, fistfights, and car chases. It's kind of like a typical Saturday night in Newark, New Jersey, except nobody really dies at the end.

Diesel is no stranger to casting UFC stars, having previously worked with former women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey for his "Fast & Furious" franchise. No word yet on what role McGregor will play, or if it's nothing more than a cameo.

Speaking of upcoming appearances, the reigning featherweight kingpin -- fresh off his 13-second knockout of Jose Aldo at UFC 194 -- has already set his sights on bigger and better opportunities (like this one).
