The world's best Featherweight fighters, Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes, laid it all on the line for another shot at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 145-pound crown inside "The Chelsea" at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night (Fri., Dec. 11, 2015).

Heading into this highly-anticipated match up, between two well-rounded fighters, most expected it to last longer than three minutes.
However, "The Answer" had other plans.
But first, "Money" took control of the pair's headliner early, attacking the legs of Edgar frequently with vicious power. Mendes was finding his groove with the kicks, while the New Jersey native circled on the outside.
Edgar found the mark through a couple of slick boxing combinations, and eventually caught the Team Alpha Male product Mendes with a crippling left hook for the flash knockout victory at 2:48 of the opening round.
The win is Edgar's fourth-in-a-row and should ultimately solidify his status as the No. 1 contender in the Featherweight division. Mendes, meanwhile, drops his second straight bout via knockout.
