Two explosive and unpredictable mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters Tony Ferguson and Edson Barboza collided at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 Finale last night (Fri., Dec. 11, 2015) inside "The Chelsea" at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With "Junior" and "El Cucuy" both being feared strikers, most were expecting a war going into their Lightweight foray in "Sin City." And it sure did deliver.

Right out of the gate, it was Ferguson on the attack, mixing up his kicks and power shots. Barboza looked to counter with body blows and movement.
Then, from out of nowhere, the California-based Ferguson rolled for a kneebar, which didn't result in the submission he had hoped for, but he found a great position to work on his hammer fist technique.
When Ferguson found his time escape, and get back to his feet, he did so by throwing an illegal kick, which caught the downed Brazilian flush across his face.
Referee John McCarthy had the cage-side doctor take a look at Barboza to make sure he could continue. Ferguson was deducted a point for the kick. Following the point deduction, Ferguson went right back on the offensive, and was effective with his kicks, but Barboza seemed to be finding a home for the body shot counter, as well as some solid body kicks.
He closed out the round with a picture-perfect spinning back kick to the body of TUF 13's winner, Ferguson.
Ferguson bloodied Barboza in round two with a beautiful step-in elbow. The 29-year-old stood firm, though, and proceeded to pick apart the American using his counter shots. When the fight eventually landed on the mat, via a Ferguson takedown, it was the standout collegiate wrestler who cinched up the D'Arce choke for the tap at the 2:54 mark of round two.
It was incredible enough to earn Ferguson not one, but two "Fight Night" bonuses, totaling $100,000. And her earned every penny ... and much more.
