Ronda Rousey (12-0) damn near became the spitting image of what a perfect mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter is when she starched would-be contender Bethe Correia at the UFC 190 pay-per-view (PPV) last August.
"Rowdy," who defends her Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) women's bantamweight strap for the seventh time against undefeated No. 1 contender Holly Holm (9-0) at UFC 193 on Sat., Nov. 14, 2015, has been taking names since her ZUFFA debut in Feb. 2013.
Rousey put all notions that her striking game wasn't on-par with her profound Judo technique to bed when she floored the Brazilian on her home turf.
Both combatants came out filled with emotion and ready to brawl, but Rousey was determined to get her hand raised. The Glendale Fight Club product poured it on from inside the clinch with a few solid uppercuts and a knee attempt, before separating from "Pitbull."
Then, after failing to get a trip, Rousey threw Correia to the mat, who managed to elevate herself just in time to eat a barrage of left and right hands. Rousey also connected on a huge left to the body, which spelled the beginning of the end for Correia.
You won't want to take out the trash when it's main-event time inside Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
