"The Terminator" eliminated "El Toro" in violent fashion at UFC FIght Night 77 last night (Sat., Nov. 7, 2015) inside Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Thomas Almeida scored a vicious knockout victory over Anthony Birchak to the delight of the Brazilian crowd, picking up the 20th career victory of his blindingly bright mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

The official stoppage came at 4:24 of round one.

After a bit of a feeling-out process, Almeida landed a pair of strikes and Birchak answered right back with a few of his own. The fight went to the ground briefly, but the No. 8-ranked Bantamweight quickly got back up to his feet. Both fighters sat down in the pocket and traded combinations. Birchak moved in on a a single-leg takedown attempt, pushing Amedia into the cage, but the Brazilian deftly circled away.

The end came soon after as the 24-year old connected on a big left-right combination that rocked Birchak. He followed up with the same combination, with the final right hand sending Birchak crumbling to the canvas with his legs buckling underneath him.

Referee Keith Peterson waved it off seconds later ... thankfully.

It was another outstanding win for Almeida (20-0), who has now won all four of his fights inside the Octagon. He remains undefeated, emerging as a bonafide contender in the 135-pound division. Meanwhile, it's a disappointing loss for Birchak (12-3), who now falls to 1-2 in UFC.
