UFC Fight Night 77 bonuses and awards: Vitor Belfort, Thomas Almeida nab $50,000 checks

Following a noteworthy line up of mixed martial arts (MMA) action at UFC Fight Night 77 last night (Sat., Nov. 7, 2015), it's now time to honor those who gave a little bit extra inside the Octagon in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) doled out its customary post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 26 fighters on the card. Among those who pocketed an extra $50,000 on the night were Vitor Belfort, Thomas Almeida and Alex Oliveira.

"The Phenom" proved he can still pack a punch at the age of 38 when he took out Dan Henderson with a head kick and follow-up strikes (highlights) in the evening's headliner.

"Thominhas" continued his torrid run up UFC's bantamweight ranks when he lamped Anthony Birchak (highlights) in the first round of their main card bout.

Alex Oliveira racked up a huge victory (highlights) in the lightweight division with a third-round dismissal of Piotr Hallmann.

But wait, there's more!

Thiago Tavares racked up a slick submission win (highlights) over former lightweight contender Clay Guida on the "Prelims" portion of the event.

Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which the Brazilian athletic commission (CABMMA) will more than likely not disclose.
