Thomas Almeida is for real, crushing Anthony Birchak at UFC Fight Night 77 last night (Sat., Nov. 7, 2015) inside Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to remain undefeated (20-0) and once again put the Bantamweight division on blast.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the FOX Sports 1 network this Saturday night (Nov. 7, 2015) inside Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with a mixed martial arts (MMA) card designed to appeal to local fans.
As a result, Vitor Belfort, Glover Teixeira, Fabio Maldonado, and many more will be in action this weekend on a card which in addition to the network-televised action, also features select "Prelims" bouts on the UFC Fight Pass digital network.

185 lbs.: Vitor Belfort vs. Dan Henderson
Round 1: Low kicks from Hendo to start. Tentative start to the fight. One minute in. Halfway into the second minute and still nothing from either side. Another low kick from Henderson. Vitor fires a left high kick and drops Henderson. A vicious series of punches follow and Henderson goes limp on the mat. He wakes back up, but it's too late. Belfort picks up the TKO win.
Final result: Belfort def. Henderson by TKO (head kick and punches)
205 lbs.: Glover Teixeira vs. Patrick Cummins
Round 1: Cummins shoots in right away, avoiding a guillotine and taking side control. Teixeira scrambles up immediately. Short uppercut by the American. Cummins repeats the effort and again Glover scrambles up. One minute in. Cummins pressing him against the fence and lands a knee to the body. Glover throwing his usual overhand right-left hook combos. Good right by Glover. Short uppercuts from Cummins. Another lead right by Glover. Counter right from Cummins in return. Glover stuffs a shot. Two minutes in. Left hook cracks Cummins, then another. Glover walking him down. Solid jabs from the Brazilian and Cummins grabs the rear waistlock. He lifts Glover up and takes his back, only for Teixeira to escape out the back door. Nasty uppercut by Glover rattles Cummins. Cummins seems to be out of the woods. Two minutes to go.
Straight right from Glover, then another and a left hook. Again with the 2-3-. Cummins shoots again and avoids another guillotine, landing in half guard. Glover turn into him after taking some short ground-and-pound, then stands. One minute to go. Uppercut by Tlover. Nice short uppercuts from the single collar tie by Cummins. Lead right from Glover. Cummins scores with a step-in knee and avoids the follow-up single leg attempt. In the final seconds, Teixeira blasts Cummins with another uppercut and some heavy punches, the fight nearly spilling over to after the bell. 10-9 Teixeira.
Round 2: Stiff jab by Glover to start the round. He takes Cummins to the fence and looks to pressure. Cummins eats another stiff jab and shoots in. Glover sprawls hard on it and gets his leg free. Another big uppercut and overhand and another uppercut. Left hook. Cummins is taking a beating. Cummins is just standing there taking punishment and Herb Dean thankfully stops the fight on the feet.
Final result: Teixeira def. Cummins by TKO (punches)
135 lbs.: Thomas Almeida vs. Anthony Birchak
Round 1: Low kicks from Birchak, who's on his bike early. 3-2 from Birchak. Birchak fakes a shot and comes over the top with a right, Birchak looks for a single-leg, can't complete it. One minute in. 3-2 from the Brazilian, combo from Birchak. Almeida comes back with a powerful left. Flurry from Birchak, lots of clean contact. They clinch and Almeida cracks him with an elbow. 3-2 from Almeida stumbles Burchak. Almeida stuffs a single-leg but an ill-advised d'arce attempt puts him on his back. Almeida scrambles back up quickly. Birchak pushes him back, doesn't lnd. Stiff jab from the Brazilian. Two minutes to go.
Uppercut kicks off a four-piece combo from Almeida, then a 2-3. Birchak shoots in once again and puts Almeida on the fence. Elmeida fights it off and digs to the body. Birchak chases him on the break, landing a left. BIG counter right by Almeida. Hard knee to the body and a left hook has Birchak on rubber legs. Nasty punches from Almeida on the fence and a straight right knocks Birchak absolutely out. Birchak falls in a near perfect Shadface recreation and Almeida has yet another savage KO.

155 lbs.: Piotr Hallmann vs. Alex Oliveira
Round 1: Oliveira fires a front kick and goes to work with short punches, banging away. Hallmann continuing to pursue. They tie up, nothing comes of it. Good left hook and right cross by Oliveira. He uses underhooks to stop a takedown. Good left hook by Hallmann. Jumping knee by Oliveira and he ties up on the fence. Knee to the body. Two minutes in. Hallmann's left eye is a little roughed up. Oliveira keeping up the pressure. He changes levels, can't get the takedown. Short uppercut lands for the Brazilian. Hallmann continuing to defend, avoids a high crotch. Two minutes to go.
Good left hook and uppercut by the Brazilian inside. Long left hook after taking a few short blows from Hallmann. Oliveira looks for a single-leg, nothing there. Hard right cross in the clinch, met by a counter hook from Hallmann. One minute to go. Hallmann gets the Thai plum but can't capitalize. Oliveira continuing to barrel forward with hard punches. Hallmann manages to reverse on the fence, Oliveira responds in kind. Bell. 10-9 Oliveira.
Round 2: Front kick from Oliveira met by some good punches from Hallmann. Some mugging inside from both men. Hard knee and punches by the Brazilian. Hallmann comes back with a right cross. Hallmann shoots in off an Oliveira leg kick. Cowboy controlling posture with an overhook. One minute in. Elbow by Hallmann. Oliveira tosses up his legs, nothing there. Short punches by the Pole. Two minutes in. Hallmann trying to pin Oliveira's arm behind him, can't do so and the ref stands them up. Low kick by Hallmann met by a left hook. Oliveira hook kick misses by a mile. Two minutes to go.
Oliveira trips up Hallmann with a cut kick and tries to take the back. Hallmann rolls through and takes side control. Oliveira briefly tosses up a McGeary-style inverted triangle, can't keep it. One minute to go. Half guard now. Oliveira controlling posture again, leaving Hallmann settling for short blows until the bell. 10-9 Hallmann.
Round 3: Oliveira comes out aggressive, landing a stepping knee. Oliveira whiffs on right hands, eats a left hook. Out of nowhere, a MASSIVE right hand from Oliveira knocks Hallmann out cold. Wow.
Final result: Oliveira def. Hallmann by knockout (punch)
155 lbs.: Rashid Magomedov vs. Gilbert Burns
Round 1: Burns looks considerably thicker than his opponent.
Burns on the advance, eats a counter right. Burns shoots in and takes Magomedov down on the fence. One minute in. Magomedov using the fence (and grabbing it) to try to stand. Burns heaves him up and slams him down. Magomedov again uses the cage to get to his feet. Burns pressing him against the fence with a bodylock. Burns tries a sacrifice throw, switches to a leglock, but can't hold Magomedov and they reset in the center. Two minutes in. Four-punch combo by the Dagestani. Check hook by Rashid. High kick hits forearm. Two minutes to go.
Burns lands a low kick as Magomedov circles near the fence. Right crosses land for Magomedv, then a low kick. Another counter right lands. Magomedov body kick blocked, counter right is not. Right hand, body kick. One minute to go. Another counter right through the guard. Solid body kick by Burns. 1-2-3 by Magomedov on the counter, then a 1-2-body kick. Great work on the counter this round by the Dagestani. 10-9 Magomedov.
Round 2: Body kick from Magomedov. 1-2 lands for Burns. Some glancing kicks from both. One minute in. Head kick attempt by Burns, body kicks from Rashid. Straight right, left uppercut. Burns shoots in. It's a great shot but Rashid manages to stay up as Burns takes him to the fence. Short elbow by Magomedov. Two mintues in. Burns tries to change levels, cannot do so. Magomedov reverses, then separates. He catches a body kick and takes Burns down, then lets him up. Hard overhand right by Magomedov rattles Burns. Magomedov steadily pursuing. Another hard right hand by Magomedov and another. Body kick and a straight right flattens Burns again. Magomedov patiently working to pound him out. Two minutes to go.
He elects to let Burns stand; Burns is not steady at all. Hick kick from Magomedov. Burns throwing back. Another counter straight right stumbles Burns. Right to the body. Uppercut. Right cross with a minute to go. Burns looks spent on his feet. Magomedov continuing to advance. Hard low kick. Magomedov tries a wheel kick at the bell. 10-9 Magomedov.
Round 3: Burns shoots immediately, then pulls guard. Magomedov tries to drop some punches on him, then gives him room to stand. Counter right lands for Magomedov. Low kick from Magomedov. Burns tries a high kick. Low kick. One minute in. Another straight right from Rashid, then a body kick. Burns whiffs on a haymaker, blocks a front kick. Anotehr counter right from Magomedov. Two minutes in. Magomedov with a low kick. Burns tries a halfhearted flying knee, then shoots in. Great hips from Magomedov. Burns gets him to the fence, Magomedov reverses. The Dagestani hits a takedown and then allows Burns to stand. Two minutes to go.
Counter left by Rashid. Burns tries a body kick. Straight right, body kick, straight right by Magomedov. One minute to go. He backs Burns up to the fence, doesn't pressure. Lead right connects. 205 lbs.: Corey Anderson vs. Fabio Maldonado
Round 1: Probing shots by Anderson early on. Neither lands clean in the center. Anderson shoots and dumps Maldonado without issue. Half guard for Anderson. One minute in. The Brazilian crowd's not happy about this development. Short elbows from Anderson. Hard right hand by Anderson. Fabio manages to sweep his way up and separate. Two minutes in. Maldonado advances, runs into a right hand. Low kick and push kick and body kick by the American, followed by a shout. Maldonado defending on the fence. Two minutes to go.
Good right hand by Anderson, who's opening up with Maldonado on the fence. Hard left hook connects and he shoots. Left hook by Maldonado, who wings some counters before Anderson separates. They clinch and Anderson lands a knee, avoiding Fabio's body blows. Maldonado stuffs another shot. Left hook from Anderson, then another. Anderson shoots and takes Maldonado down on the fence. He gives up turtle position and Anderson leisurely whacks away until the bell, drilling him with some knees to the body before the round's end. 10-9 Anderson.
Round 2: 1-2 from Anderson. Maldonado pursues and lands some solid punches, prompting Anderson to change levels. Maldonado thus far fighting it off. Anderson switches to a single-leg, nothing there either. He continues to drive and finally dumps Maldonado. Fabio makes it back up quickly, giving his back in the process. Anderson using the rear waistlock. He manages to bully Maldonado to one knee briefly. Maldonado to the body in the clinch. Anderson with some solid elbows, Maldonado comes back with punches. Two minutes in. Anderson changes levels on the fence, can't get anything there and they return to the center.
Good overhand right by Maldonado. Anderson cracks him with a right, then dumps Maldonado in the center of the cage. There's no fight clock for some reason, so I can't timestamp. Anderson does some good work on top, but Maldonado manages to scramble up from half guard. Thai clinch and a knee by Anderson. Maldonado backs to the fence and defends another takedown. 10-9 Anderson.
Round 3: Leg kicks from Anderson. Head kick attempt. Anderson shoots, Maldonado gets his leg out. Anderson fires an overhand and fails on another shot. Back to the center. Maldonado digs a hook to the body in the clinch, then lands one upstairs. One minute in. Anderson hits a blast double in the center and takes side control. Fabio gives up his back and Anderson again takes top turtle. Maldonado scoots to the fence. Two minutes in. Fabio makes it to his feet, eats a hard knee to the body and some good punching combos. Anderson digs to the body and clinches again. Two minutes to go.
Anderson continuing to control on the fence. He backs off, then blasts Maldonado with some right hands and shoots in. Right hand lands for him and he again backs off. Another takedown attempt in the center. One minute to go. Fabio avoids that one. Hard right cross from Anderson, then a successful blast double. He ends the fight in half guard. 10-9 Anderson.

155 lbs.: Gleison Tibau vs. Abel Trujillo
Round 1: Tibau shoots in right away and puts Trujijllo on his rear against the fence. Trujillo makes it up, Tibau still attached. The Brazilian looks for a single-leg and Trujillo tries to counter with a guillotine, pulling guard on it. Tibau gets his hear out and takes an awkward mount on the fence. One minute in. Trujillo gives up his back, mount, and then the back again. Tibau's overpowering him right now. Tibau locks it up and Trujillo seems to be worming his way out, but the referee thinks he's out and calls the fight. Oops.
Final result: Tibau def. Trujillo by technical submission (rear-naked choke)
155 lbs.: Yan Cabral vs. Johnny Case
Round 1: Low kick from Case, then a stiff counter left. Overhand right lands for Cabral. Cabral shoots and pulls guard, eating an elbow in the process. One minute in. Cabral looks for a triangle-to-omoplata, Case gets out and stands. Low kick from Case. Hard left straight connects. Cabral with a low kick. He looks for a single-leg, who eats some punches B.J. Penn-style before finally putting Case on his back. Cabral makes it to side control, Case manages to kick him off and make an attempt to stand. Two minutes in. Half guard for Cabral and Case sweeps him. Cabral goes for a leg in transition and eventually winds up back on top. Half guard now. He hops over to side control with two minutes to go.
North-south, then the opposite side control when Case tries to bridge. Cabral looking for a Kimura. Cabral moves to north-south with the keylock grip. One minute to go. He can't break Case's grip on his own shorts and Case manages to scramble up, eating a hard right hand. Intercepting knee by Case when Cabral shoots again. Low kick by Case. Hard right hand by Case in the waning seconds, then a pair of body kicks. 10-9 Cabral.
Round 2: Counter two-piece from Case, then a low kick. Cabral tries a body kick. Case lands a better body kick and a low kick. Cabral fires a pair of low kicks. Slow spinning elbow by Cabral. The Brazilian shoots, stuffed. Low kick and straight left by Case. One minute in. Cabral catches a body kick but can't use it. Counter right by Cabral, Case comes back with a combination. Nice right hand by Cabral, who east a body kick and a counter 1-2. Case to the body. Left hook rocks Cabral and he stumbles to the mat. Case patientely stands over him and drops some hard shots. Two minutes in. Cabral looks for deep half guard. Case stands and allows Cabral to do so as well. Straight right by Cabral, who gets knocked on his butt by a teep. Body kick from Case. Two minutes to go.
Counter right by Cabral after avoiding some Case combinations. Cabral shoots, can't get it. Quick punch exchange. 1-2 by the American. Body kick lands and Cabral catches a finger in the eye, only for Herb Dean to tell him to keep going. Head kick and 1-2 from Case. One minute to go. Case stuffs another shot. Low kicks from both. Cabral circling on the retreat, eats a straight left. Low kick from Case, who stalks after Cabral until the bell. 10-9 Case.
Round 3: Cabral tossing out low kicks. Body kick by Case. 1-2 by Case, who pursues. Cabral shoots, can't get the single leg and switches to a double. Cabral manages to drag him down and put in a hook. One minute in. Cabral transitioning to an arm triangle. Case manages to get to his feet, Cabral still has the rear waistlock. Cabral drags him down and puts in both hooks. Two minutes in. Body triangle now. Cabral working patiently for the choke. He locks it up on the chin, nothing there. Two minutes to go.
Case manages to remove the body triangle, but Cabral gets it back. Case manages to roll into top position. Cabral looks for a leg, settles for half guard. One minute to go. Case drops some hard right hands and pounds away from turtle position. Cabral makes it up to his feet and eats some hard shots, bloodying up his face before the bell. 10-9 Cabral.
Final result: Case def. Cabral by unanimous decision
145 lbs.: Clay Guida vs. Thiago Tavares
Round 1: Guida pops him with a right hand, then shoots in and dumps Tavares fifteen seconds in. Tavares latches onto a guillotine on the way down and it looks tight. Guida tries to roll through, but incredibly, Tavares gets the tap.
Final result: Tavares def. Guida by submission (guillotine)
145 lbs.: Chas Skelly vs. Kevin Souza
Round 1: Souza dipping down nearly to Skelly's navel. Skelly tries a front kick. Souza stalking, digs a right to the body. Skelly shoots and looks for a single-leg. He transitions to a double on the fence, then back to a single. One minute in. Skelly runs him down, can't keep him there and keeps up the chain-wrestling. He finally scoops up a leg and sweeps the other one out from under the Brazilian. Half guard for Skelly. Two minutes in. Skelly lands an elbow and passes to side control. More short elbows. Souza bucks and Skelly slaps on a d'arce as Souza rolls through . Two minutes to go.
Skelly still squeezing, but Souza gets his head out after about twenty seconds and waves Souza up. Massive left hook from Souza drops Skelly hard. Souza tries to pound him out and Skelly scrambles, looking for a leg. One minute to go. Skelly still fishing for a leg and briefly tries a heel hook. Nice knee by Skelly on the way up and they sweparate. Souza swings bombs until the bell. 10-9 Skelly.
Round 2: The shot that dropped Skelly was part of Souza's classic 2-3. I've been telling you guys.
Skelly shoots in right away and this time pulls guard. Souza drops shots and Skelly looks for a leg again. Souza gets his leg out after landing some hammerfists and they engage on the feet again. Souza with a glancing left hook. Skelly looks spent. He shoots and manages to secure the rear waistlock. One hook in standing. One minute in. Skelly manages to roll through and take the back on the floor. He locks up the RNC and, after a brief struggle, pulls off the comeback submission.
Final result: Skelly def. Souza by submission (rear-naked choke)
170 lbs.: Viscardi Andrade vs. Gasan Umalatov
Round 1: Low kick from Umalatov 25 seconds in. Not much else in the first minute. Umalatov tries a pair of left hooks, both miss. Good counter punches from Andrade after an Umalatov kick and he chases his foe to the fence, trying to land in the clinch. They separate and return to the center. Andrade low kick. Two minutes in. Andrade moving forward, neither man throwing much. Right to the body by Andrade. Two minutes to go.
Both whiff on punches. Knees to the body by Andrade. Umalatov lands an overhand right off a leg kick. Umalatov changes levels as Andrade attacks, can't make anything of it. One minute to go. Overhand right by Umalatov, body kick by Andrade. Umalatov tries to clinch and eats an elbow. Andrade advancing and throwing heavy shots. Knees to the body and a failed spinning back fist before the bell. 10-9 Andrade.
Round 2: Body kick by Andrade, then they trade punches. Left hook and swatting rights from Umalatov. Counter hook lands for Umalatov. One minute in. Body kick by Andrade, who chases with punches. Two minutes in. No major impacts. Counter 2-3 from Andrade. Umalatov still advancing, fight overall still sucking. Andrade body kick. Glancing overhand right by Umalatov with two minutes to go.
Neither man is landing clean punches, but Andrade is throwing a lot more. One minute to go. It's like a really, really bad sparring session. Now Andrade lands a sold flurry. Umalatov steps into the clinch and just stops. Elbow from Andrade, uppercut by Umalatov. Andrade with some heavy knees before the bell. 10-9 Andrade.
Round 3: Overhand right from Andrade. Umalatov pursuing slowly, lands a left hook. Spinning heel kick connects out of nowhere and rocks Andrade. Umalatov ties up and nearly gives up his back. Now Umalatov stalking forward, but eats some solid blows from the Brazilian. One minute in. Right cross by Andrade after a failed takedown. 1-2-3 lands for Andrade. Umalatov tries another spinning kick, nothing doing. Two minutes in. Left hook and right uppercut from Umalatov. Andrade digs to the body. Umalatov waving him on and lands a left swing. Glancing overhand connects. 1-2 from Andrade. Two minutes to go.
Knee from Andrade on the fence; things have slowed back down. Body kick lands for him. He knees the body as Umalatov ties up. One minute to go. Umalatov tries to swing on the break. He keeps chasing and swinging, but Andrade is the more accurate of the two. BIG right hand by Umalatov and Andrade shoots, then pulls guard. Munhoz lands a spinning back kick to the face on the restart. One minute in. Good counter hook and body shots by Rivera. More solid punching combinations after a missed front kick from Munhoz. Two minutes in. Body shots from Rivera, right hand by Munhoz. Nice uppercut through the guard by Rivera, who takes another leg kick. Another combo, after which he stuffs a level change.
