The star-studded UFC 194 pay-per-view (PPV) event is set to pop off on Dec. 12, 2015, from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Before the stars of the stacked show step into the cage to take care of business, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) unveiled (via YouTube) first round knockouts featuring some of the main card combatants.
Without further ado, lets dive in to see who made the cut:
5. Luke Rockhold def. Costas Phillipou at UFC Fight Night 35
4. Conor McGregor def. Dustin Poirier at UFC 178
3. Ronalda Souza def. Yushin Okami def. at UFC Fight Night 28
2. Chris Weidman def. Vitor Belfort at UFC 187
1. Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes at UFC 142
Hard to argue with that, though I would have probably went with McGregor's Octagon debut against Marcus Brimmage back in 2013.
UFC 194 will be headlined by a much-anticipated title unification match as the aforementioned Jose Aldo will take on Conor Mcgregor for the right to stake claim to the undisputed Featherweight throne. In the co-main event, Chris Weidman will defend his 185-pound strap against Luke Rockhold.
As for Souza, he'll face off against Yoel Romero in a 185-pound No. 1 contender eliminator match.
