Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is tinkering with the line up for its upcoming UFC 194 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Dec. 12, 2015, scheduled for MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, now that Michelle Waterson is injured and no longer fighting fellow strawweight contender Tecia Torres.

MMA Junkie brought word of the change on Tuesday.

Waterson (13-4) transitioned to the ranks of ZUFFA after a high-profile run under the Invicta FC banner, capturing a submission win over Angela Magana in her Octagon debut. "The Karate Hottie" is 7-1 dating back to 2009 and could be in line for a crack at the crown with a couple of big wins.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that's going to happen until 2016.

Torres (6-0) may have come up short during her run on TUF 22, but she already holds wins over some of the biggest names in the division, including Rose Namajunas and the red-hot Paige VanZant. The only knock on the 26-year-old Floridian is her inability to finish fights.

A replacement opponent for the "Tiny Tornado" is expected in the coming days.

UFC 194 will feature the featherweight title unification bout between reigning champion Jose Aldo and interim titleholder Conor McGregor. Elsewhere on the card, middleweight contenders Ronaldo Souza and Yoel Romero hook 'em up for a crack at the winner of Chris Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold, who also compete on Dec. 12.
