Report: Edmond Tarverdyan no-shows creditor meeting (again), jeopardizes bankruptcy filing

I'm sure it was a simple oversight.

After all, Edmond Tarverdyan watched his world get turned upside down when his prized pupil, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, surrendered her 135-pound strap to Holly Holm earlier this month in Australia.

Relive the madness here.

As a result, Tarverdyan was a no-show for his most recent creditor meeting, which came on the heels of his bankruptcy filing back in May. The longtime owner and head trainer of Glendale Fighting Club claims over $700,000 in debt against just $3,300 in assets.

Read our initial report here.

His absence at last week's hearing -- the second this year -- jeopardizes his bankruptcy filing, according to Paul Gift at Bloody Elbow.

You failed to appear at the 341 (a) meeting previously scheduled in your matter. You are further notified that in the event you do not appear at said time and place, the Trustee will request that the court dismiss the case pursuant to Local Bankruptcy Rule 1017-2(b).

In addition, the trustee has enlisted Robert Hessling as general counsel, which includes but is not limited to investigation, liquidation, and prosecution.

Tarverdyan has once again been scheduled for a creditors meeting on Dec. 9 in Los Angeles.

Stay tuned.
