Conor McGregor has enjoyed massive paydays, coaching opportunities on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) reality show The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) -- where he nearly came to blows with all of Team Alpha Male -- all the while holding training camp at his SBG Ireland mixed martial arts (MMA) gym in Dublin for his highly-anticipated featherweight title unification headliner against Jose Aldo.
That fight -- should it finally come to fruition -- is pegged to be the headliner of the UFC 194 pay-per-view (PPV) on Dec. 12, 2015 in Las Vegas.
Of course, "Notorious" has his own feelings about "Junior," who he maintains will be rendered unconscious by one of his powerful body blows or head strikes inside MGM Grand Garden Arena.
In this latest UFC video, the 27-year-old discusses, among other things, why he's baffled by the interim label on his 145-pound title:
"Interim -- take that interim out of there. There's no interim in this. I'm a world champion. He's a world champion. We're going to find out who's the unified world champion. Don't put interim in there; I don't like that. Reebok sent over a lot of gear with interim all over. I'm like, 'What the f--k is that interim doing on my sh-it? I showed up. I just don't think he'll be there, we'll see. If he makes that walk, and he is inside the Octagon, every single movement will get an overreaction from him. He's emotionally invested; there's too much in it for him. I feel him overreacting, overextending and then him be KO'd unconscious. [On what you'll see at the post-fight press conference] You're going to see the belt right there on the stage. You're going to see a banged up Brazilian. Hopefully we see that. It could be somebody else, but you'll see me there with a gold belt, a brand new, custom-made suit and a smile on my face."
And a couple of exotic vehicles to ride around the streets of Ireland in.
McGregor has gotten a rise out of Aldo once before, fueling the Brazilian's desire for revenge.
And in case of any such harm done during training -- as was the case prior to their foiled UFC 189 main event back in July -- ZUFFA brass has bought Aldo a shiny new protective vest to ensure their "Sin City" headliner goes on as planned.
