Former WWE superstar CM Punk is expected to make his Octagon debut -- eventually -- after inking a contract with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) back in late 2014, a roster signing that did not come without its fair share of criticism.
So, why are so many squealing pigs mixed martial arts (MMA) fans hating on the ex-wrestler?
"Maybe jealousy, I would guess that's a pretty good answer," ONE Championship titleholder and Roufusport teammate Ben Askren told MMA Fighting. "He's been famous, he's made a lot of money, he's got a hot wife. There's a lot of things about him that people would probably be jealous of. I would guess that's it."
Must be those per diems.
Punk suffered an injury in training last month, one that is expected to delay his first pro fight by a couple of months, which as you might expect only further angered the select fans who are eager to watch the 37-year-old middleweight (?) crash and burn.
This superfan certainly isn't one of them.
