Video: 'Mean' Diego Sanchez transforms into hungry lion at UFC Monterrey open workouts

"I started my camp five months out. I feel super healthy, I went into this camp healthy, I had a great training camp at the new Jackson-Wink gym facility. Diego Sanchez dropping down to 145, you're going to see a powerful, dominant fighter. I'm mean! I'm just a hungry lion. I'm hungry in my stomach, I'm hungry in my heart, I'm hungry in my mind, and I'm hungry in my wallet. I want this."

Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran and winner of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one, Diego Sanchez, is finally making his drop to 145 pounds, taking on former featherweight title contender Ricardo Lamas at UFC Fight Night 78 on FOX Sports 1, set for this Saturday night (Nov. 21, 2015) at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. As you can see from yesterday's media open workouts, Sanchez (25-7) is looking lean and mean (and hungry) as he prepares to shut down "The Bully," a win that would inch him oh-so-close to a potential Conor McGregor fight. Don't say he didn't warn you!
