UFC 193 injuries and medical suspensions: Ronda Rousey, Joanna Jedrzejczyk facing six month sits

Matt Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who coughed up her title to Holly Holm in the UFC 193 main event last weekend in Australia (watch it), was planning on taking some time off after her duties "Down Under."

Not that she had much choice.

"Rowdy" is facing a possible six-month suspension following her violent finish in Melbourne, which sent her to the hospital with a busted lip. Hopefully that's all, but just to be sure the promotion -- acting as its own regulatory commission -- will require a CT scan prior to her "Rowdy" return.

Joining her in the six-month club is strawweight titleholder Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who needed five rounds to repel 125-pound stalwart Valerie Letourneau (video). "Joanna Champion" was recently diagnosed with a broken hand and will likely need surgery.

That's not all.

Here is the full list of UFC 193 injuries and medical suspensions (via MixedMartialArts.com):

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
