Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey finally broke her silence and issued a brief statement following her first-ever loss, which took place last night (Sat., Nov. 14, 2015) at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
"I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support," Rousey wrote on Instagram. "I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I'm fine. As I had mentioned before, I'm going to take a little bit of time, but I'll be back."

Rousey's loss sent shockwaves throughout the mixed martial arts (MMA) community, as many expected her to blitz right through Holly Holm.
"The Preacher's Daughter," however, flipped the script by outclassing the former bantamweight queenpin from the opening bell. After it was all said and done, "Rowdy" had no answer for Holm's striking, which ultimately proved to be the moneymaker.
As she stated prior to the bout, she will now be taking some much-needed time off from her MMA duties to focus on her Hollywood endeavors. Which could be good news for the rest of the division, as it is now blown completely wide open.
Question is: Who's up first?
