It's been quite a weekend for Holly Holm.
Not only did she shock the mixed martial arts (MMA) world by knocking out Ronda Rousey in round two of UFC 193 -- which went down last night (Sat., Nov. 14, 2015) in Melbourne, Australia -- to become the new UFC women's Bantamweight champion (highlights), but the first trailer of her upcoming movie "Fight Valley" was released, too.
Here's a synopsis of the film:
"Fight Valley" follows a girl named Windsor who is trying to find out the culprit behind the death of her sister, but in this town she's going to have to fight to survive, so she calls on a legendary trainer (played by Tate) to help her get prepared for what she's about to face.
It's nice to see other women on the UFC roster get a crack at Hollywood.
"Fight Valley," which also stars Miesha Tate and Cris Cyborg -- two "Rowdy" rivals -- is slated to hit theaters in early 2016.
