Winning an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) world title can be an emotional moment for any fighter. Just ask newly minted champion Holly Holm (watch her tear-soaked reaction here).
But, defending the belt can be just as hard on the nerves, as evidenced by a relieved Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who took everything challenger Valerie Letourneau dished out in UFC 193's co-main event last night (Nov. 14, 2014) in Melbourne, Australia, and still came out on top in unanimous victory.

In a post-fight interview with Ariel Helwani, the battered and bruised -- but still Strawweight champion -- found it hard to put her title dense into words.
"My family, my team, they're all with me and they're very happy," she began to say before breaking down into tears.
Despite practically sweeping the judge's scorecards (50-45, 49-46, 49-46), Jedrzejczyk gave props to her French-Canadian opponent.
"I expected her to be a tough fight from Valerie because I knew that she was in 135 (pounds) and she dropped to 115 so she's really in shape, you know," said the undefeated Polish fighter.
