Few believed she could do it. Few could even believe their eyes when she did indeed do it.
And yet, heavy underdog Holly Holm shocked the mixed martial arts (MMA) world last night (Sat., Nov. 14, 2015) in the main event of UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia, landing a head kick in the second round that knocked out the most dominant champion in UFC history.

When describing her feelings after the fight during an interview with fellow UFC champion Daniel Cormier, a clearly emotional Holly Holm credited her team for helping her accomplish the impossible.
"I can't even explain how blessed I am and how fortunate that I have such a great team that believes in me. You know, just walking out there... it's us anyway. We're the ones doing it. I'm the one that has to fight and they're the ones that are giving me the advice and that's what it comes down to. It doesn't matter what odds are on paper or what's happened before. It matters what happens that moment."
