UFC 193 results: 'Rousey vs. Holm' full play-by-play recaps for FOX Sports 1 'Prelims'

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing a landmark UFC 193 pay-per-view (PPV) event to the 70,000-seat Etihad Stadium tonight (Sat., Nov. 14, 2015) in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Ronda Rousey aims to defend her women's Bantamweight title for the seventh consecutive time against ex-boxing champion Holly Holm in the evening's headliner, which is expected to produce more fireworks after an explosive weigh-in event.

In the co-main event, Joanna Jedrzejczyk puts her women's Strawweight belt on the line against No. 8-ranked Valerie Letourneau. The former Muay Thai champion had strong words for her Canadian challenger and promises a swift defeat later tonight.

Elsewhere on the enormous main card are tilts featuring big-time strikers Mark Hunt, Antonio Silva, Uriah Hall and Robert Whittaker.

However, before we can get to the evening's main courses, Maniacs everywhere will be treated to a slew of eight "Prelims" bouts, which begin on Fight Pass at 6:15 p.m. ET, before transferring over to FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET for the remaining four.

Below are the results recaps for the four UFC 193 FOX Sports 1 "Prelims" tussles:

Jake Matthews vs. Akbarh Arreola

The up-and-coming lightweight Matthews fought a veteran of over 30 fights in Arreola.

A nice straight left from Arreola to start. Matthews answers with a leg kick, who then lands a solid right. Arreola stuffs a takedown attempt. Arreola connects with a leg kick. Big swing and a miss from "El Caballero" and they clinch. Matthews has Arreola up against the fence. Arreola tags Matthews with a left hand and his the Aussie in a precarious spot momentarily. The Mexican lands a high kick and drops Matthews. Arreola has the back mount, but has to be careful to not fall off the top of the 21-year-old. Matthews is doing a good job of defending with 60 seconds left. Matthews is back on top with 20 seconds left and rains down ground and pound. A good elbow finds the mark as round one ends.

Matthews goes high to start round two. He scores with a takedown early and lands in full guard. He postures up and connects with hard shots and elbows. Arreola is bloodied and getting smashed with 3:00 to go. Continuous ground and pound; heavy elbows and short punches. Arreola attempts to get back to the fence, but Matthews sees it as round two comes to a close.

No round three as Arreola isn't allowed to compete.

The winner: Matthews via second-round doctor stoppage

Matthews is now 3-1 in UFC, bringing his overall record to 9-1. Arreola drops his second straight fight and falls to 23-9-1.

Kyle Noke vs. Peter Sobotta

The Australian Noke looked to end the seven-fight win streak of Germany's Sobotta in Melbourne.

Solid leg kick to start for Noke. He's working all kinds of kicks; front, side, leg. Good outside leg kick from "KO." A straight right sneaks through for Sobotta. A front kick drops Sobotta, who is crippled and cannot cover up successfully. Noke lands some ground and pound for the victory via technical knockout.

The winner: Noke via first-round TKO

Noke wins his second fight in 2015, bringing his record to (22-7-1). Sobotta sees his seven-fight win streak come to and end. He falls to (15-5-1).

Anthony Perosh vs. Gian Villante

The Sydney native Perosh battled the American striker Villante in a tilt comprised of veteran finishers.

Front kick by Villante to start. Perosh connects on an uppercut. A right startles "Hippo." Villante goes high and scores with a clean kick. A huge uppercut stiffens the 43-year-old. Villatne goes to the body with a kick. Perosh eats a counter left upon charging in. A devastating straight right downs Perosh, giving Villante the first-round knockout.

The winner: Villante via first-round knockout

Villante improves to 14-6, while Perosh drops his second straight and is now 15-10.

Richie Vaculik vs. Danny Martinez

Struggling flyweights kicked off the FS1 "Prelims" tonight as Vaculik looked to turn away Alliance MMA's Martinez.

Martinez connects with the straight left. Right hand from Vaculik. These guys are swinging for the fences. Good counter rights from "Vas." Perfect level change sees Martinez catch a kick and take him down. Half guard for "The Gremlin." It's short lived. Martinez lands a double-leg takedown and is in full guard. Good wrist control displayed by the 32-year-old Aussie. Solid left from Martinez. Vaculik tags him with a right and left after they stand up. He snags a double-leg of his own now and then pins him against the fence. Martinez reverses and lands in full guard. Vaculik scrambles, Martinez holding onto his neck as round one ends.

Big body kick early from Vaculik. Martinez returns fire with a left. Good body kick from the American. Nice left again from Martinez. He's working the body and then takes Vaculik down. Half guard now. Vaculik stands back up. A clean left lands for Martinez. He shoots, but is denied by Vaculik. A right hand drops Vaculik momentarily. Martinez pours it on against the cage. A body kick lands for Vaculik, who then gets a takedown, but loses it transitioning to back mount. We're standing with under 60 seconds left. The 30-year-old Martinez shoots and notches the double-leg.

Vaculik starts round three off by ducking a punch and landing a takedown. Back to the feet with 4:30 remaining. Martinez with a deep shot off of a leg kick by Vaculik. Half guard for Martinez, but Vaculik's guard is just too good. A good knee from Martinez on the break and they stand up. Vaculik lands a right, but is taken down yet again. He's trying to wall walk, but is dragged back down. Now Vaculik is sandwiched against the fence, while Martinez is in half guard. Short shots coming the way of Vaculik, who lands a good knee on the break with a few seconds remaining in the fight.

The winner: Martinez via unanimous decision

Martinez brings his UFC record to 1-3. It's his first victory since Dec. 2012. Vaculik loses his second straight and falls to 10-4.
