The much-anticipated featherweight title fight between division kingpin Jose Aldo and interim champion Conor McGregor -- which is set for UFC 194 on Dec. 12, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada -- won't suffer the same fate UFC 189 did after Aldo was forced out of the bout with a busted rib.
At least, not if Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) head cheese Lorenzo Fertitta has a say in the matter.
According to UFC Brasil, Fertitta provided the 145-pound champion with a special vest he can wear during training designed to protect his ribs.

Aldo's wife, Vivianne Oliveira, provided further details to Combate.
"Lorenzo gave two shirts for him with protection in the ribs," she said (via UFC.com). "He is training with that thing for people to protect themselves."
And while the vest will protect his ribs, it won't do much to protect the rest of his body. Which means training smart is priority number one.
"Of course he can hurt the knee, the pinky finger, but fighting is a contact sport," she added.
Don't jinx it!
With only a month left until Aldo and McGregor get it on inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena, fight fans can rest assured Junior's ribs are well-protected.
