Before the most recent heavyweight Cinderella Story in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was commissioned by current 265-pound titleholder Fabricio Werdum, there was profound knockout artist and perennial contender Mark Hunt (10-10-10).
The 41-year-old New Zealander has fought the best that the 265-pound division has to offer from "Vai Cavalo" to former division ruler Junior dos Santos and is now running it back with previous foe Antonio Silva (19-7-1) at the UFC 193 pay-per-view (PPV) inside Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on Nov. 14, 2015.
"Super Samoan" and "Bigfoot" fought to a draw at the UFC Fight Night 33 mixed martial arts (MMA) event in what was a complete bloodbath back in Dec. 2013. Now the pair head into their rematch having seen better days, possessing less-than-ideal Octagon records over the last two years.
In one of Hunt's more spectacular victories, he trounced former UFC contender Cheick Kongo in a shade over two minutes in "The Land of the Rising Sun" at UFC 144 in Feb. 2012.
After a tense opening minute, which saw the Frenchman land a few solid leg kicks, Hunt knocked down the kickboxer with a stiff left hand and then put him away with a series of right hands.
