Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight titleholder TJ Dillashaw is getting his own mixed martial arts (MMA) training squad in Denver, Colorado, thanks to the deep pockets and generous resources of longtime sponsor MusclePharm.
That's according to a report from Combate, but sources in Sacramento, Calif., insist they won't be changing the locks at Team Alpha Male just yet.
Dillashaw will continue to train part-time with Urijah Faber and Co., as well as with striking coach Duane Ludwig in "Mile High City," but will focus the majority of his time and energy at his new home while gearing up for January's showdown against Dominick Cruz.
That might help ease some of the tension between "The California Kid" and "Bang," who continue to air their dirty laundry in public. And while Faber was warned about a "snake in the grass" while coaching The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22, Dillashaw's new endeavor can be categorized as an offer he couldn't refuse.
Though it certainly adds some fuel to this already smoking fire...
