Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has been injured and pulled from his Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 Finale co-main event against Tony Ferguson, which takes place on Fri., Dec. 11, 2015 inside Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada
"The Eagle" shares his disappointment by way of Instagram:
"I want to apologize to my fans. I broke my rib, and again I am out of the fight. I really wanted to come back, I'm not sure if i will ever come back. Thanks to my fans and my sponsors. Praise to Allah."
This latest setback is particularly troubling for the undefeated lightweight, who already suffered through a pair of knee injuries that have kept him sidelined since April 2014.
UFC is currently trying to get Edson Barboza to step in and face Ferguson on short notice, according to MMA Fighting.
